About Firefrost glass jewellery

Firefrost Designs makes glass jewellery using Murano Glass beads and Sterling Silver. Our jewellery is handmade in Cumbria.

We combine the centuries old glass making traditions of Murano in Venice with the modern technology of the Internet to give our customers more choice.

As well as buying from our ready made collection our site allows you to have a go at designing your own glass jewellery on-line. You do this by selecting a design and then 'drag and dropping' different coloured beads to create your own unique necklace or earrings. Once your design is complete, we will make it for you and post it to you.

It is fun to do and it's a great way of:

• choosing jewellery to match an outfit
• buying a present that is personalised

Firefrost - the name
We’ve been asked many times about our name. We chose the name ‘Firefrost’ to suggest the fiery colours of glass that our beads are made from and their frosted silver lining. It also represents the fire in which the glass is made, the heat of Venice where we buy our beads and the cool crisp mornings of Cumbria where we make our jewellery. And we like it!
